FIR-Filter
Mit sog. FIR-Filtern lassen sich, unter Zuhilfenahme moderner DSP-Bausteine, im Gegensatz zu konventionellen (IIR-Filtern) anhand einer Impulsantwort nicht nur die Magnitude also der Frequenzgang eines Signals sondern auch die Phasenlage beeinflussen.
So lässt sich der Frequenzschrieb eines komplexen Lautsprechersystems perfekt linearisieren ohne dabei die Phasenlage wie üblich negativ zu beeinflussen. Ein so gefilterter Lautsprecher zeichnet sich durch perfekte Impulstreue und besondere Detailgenauigkeit aus.
