What Client Says

We're convinced by the quality of dBTechnologies components and already run a broad range of dBTechnologies products ourselves. That made dBTechnologies the natural choice for equipping this vehicle," says Christian Weber, Head of Event Technology at FS-Veranstaltungstechnik. "Beyond the sound, the system also impressed us with how straightforward it is to install, set up and strike. That's a decisive advantage on a mobile project of this kind.

With 'The Ultimate Sound Machine', BMW M GmbH takes the brand's world of performance to a new stage. An extensively converted BMW XM Label becomes a DJ stage on wheels, equipped with VIO C12 loudspeakers and VIO S118R subwoofers from dBTechnologies. FS-Veranstaltungstechnik of Mallersdorf-Pfaffenberg in Lower Bavaria handles the technical delivery.

The concept combines the unmistakable presence of M, electrified high performance and professional event technology in a brand experience built to draw a crowd. It is based on a BMW XM Label that has been heavily modified for use as a mobile DJ stage, with a cut-out roof section, a double-sided LED screen, stage lighting, underbody lighting and haze machines. Thanks to M HYBRID technology, the sound, screen and lighting rig can all run independently of external power, turning the car into a self-contained mobile event venue.

PREMIERE WITH DJ LEGEND CARL COX

The BMW XM Label was converted in collaboration with apprentices at BMW Group Plant Dingolfing (Germany), who took a leading role in the vehicle's construction and technical fit-out. In early April 2026, DJ legend Carl Cox, himself a BMW XM driver and brand ambassador, tested the system in Dingolfing and signed it off for use. 'The Ultimate Sound Machine' made its public debut at the Electric Mountain Festival in Sölden. Further appearances planned for 2026 include Ultrace Düsseldorf, the 24-hour races at the Nürburgring and Le Mans, a BMW M Trackday at Hockenheimring and the MotoGP round in Spielberg.

VIO C12 AND VIO S118R ON THE MOVE

FS-Veranstaltungstechnik is responsible for lighting and audio, LED walls, banners and mesh, as well as cabling, control and backup power. One vehicle is currently in operation, fitted with four VIO C12 and four VIO S118R from dBTechnologies. On each side of the vehicle, two VIO C12 are flown side by side, while two VIO S118R subwoofers stacked on a dolly deliver a powerful low end. A further four VIO C12 and four VIO S118R have already been ordered to expand the system.

FS-Veranstaltungstechnik has been a dBTechnologies customer for many years. That long-standing relationship and the company's extensive VIO inventory laid the foundation for choosing dBTechnologies as audio partner for 'The Ultimate Sound Machine'.
