09/04/10 dBTechnologies Breaks New Ground With An Array Of New Products At Frankfurt
The eagerly anticipated CROMO Series, Opera 610D, DVA S08 and DVA S09 W loudspeakers were unveiled on dBTechnologies’ stunning 780sqm Pro Light & Sound booth this year, alongside the new DWS800 digital wireless microphone system, which promises to take the concept of a future-proof wireless microphone system to an altogether new level.
Following in the footsteps of the versatile Opera D Series, the CROMO powered loudspeaker line is designed to be used in many different applications, from live events to fixed installations in bars or lounges. Setting new standards in entry-level speaker lines, the range features the ultra compact digipack digital power amplifiers,
based on the successful digipro® amp technology which provides maximum efficiency, and an integrated digital sound processor (DSP) ensuring perfect sound calibration of individual speaker components.
“We want everyone to benefit from dBTechnologies’ advances in technology and the CROMO Series means no one needs to miss out on professional features and outstanding audio performance,” explains Sales & Marketing Director, Michael Herweg.
Comprising CROMO 8, 10 and 12 with a power output of 100W, 180W and 300W respectively, each of these three models features compact multifunctional housing, asymmetrical CD horns and a mic input on XLR and jack sockets for maximum flexibility.
Opera 610D, the newest addition to the Opera Digital line boasts real acceleration potential despite its compact dimensions. Weighing in at less than 10kg, it presents a record-breaking benchmark in the class of compact, full range loudspeakers. Its diminutive size belies a 600W/RMS digital digipro® power amp, high class neodymium components and 24bit sound processor which means Opera 610D can offer high end sound reproduction for demanding musicians and DJs.
The latest in the DVA range is the S08 a 12” high power active bass-reflex subwoofer for professional applications, designed specifically for upmarket requirements. Delivering high momentum and a simultaneous punchy low end, it is equipped with an 800W/RMS digipro® power amp, which reaches sound pressure levels of up to 131dB.
Also the DVA S09 W active subwoofer, still the perfect base for a high-quality satellite system with its integrated active stereo crossover with an adjustable cut off frequency (90Hz and 120Hz) and a phase inversion switch, just like the S09, but now available in white.
dBTechnologies ‘future-proof’ DWS800 series addresses the problem of narrowing frequency bands by using its pioneering digital transmission technology, ensuring many more frequencies are available in a narrower band, whilst still providing maximum flexibility with its high switching bandwidth. The automated set-ups can even be assigned to country-specific frequency bands, which offer the potential to operate up to 200 channels in parallel – almost worldwide.
Being a digital microphone system, the DWS800 has the advantage of reduced interference, no loss in audio or signal quality and unmatched sound, and featuring Ethernet and USB ports for use with the management software, it is ideally suited to the construction of complex wireless systems, especially for fixed installations and touring purposes.
The CROMO range is expected to ship in June, with the Opera 610D, S08 and S09 White following in July and DWS800 later in the year.
Further information on all of the new products will be available on the website shortly.
