DVA beat off strong competition from other well known and leading loudspeaker brands, winning the “Happy Valley” theme park project in Beijing, China.The system serves the elaborate outdoor
“Odyssey Theatre” in the section known as the “Aegean Harbor” with colourful Greek buildings as a backdrop to enclose the semi circular theatre, making it look like part of a natural landscape. The theater serves in excess of 2,000 people and has some fixed stone seating in strategic places, giving it the impression of an age old site. The newly installed DVA system held its first concert in the “Odyssey Theatre” on 1st May 2009, Chinese labour day.
The Park was crowded with visitors and the day’s music proceedings went extremely well with the new DVA sound system, making the audio experience an impressive and memorable occasion for all those that attended.

SGM Technology for Lighting joins RCF Group
RCF Group finalized the agreement to purchase 51% of SGM Technology for Lighting S.p.A.. The closing date for the operation is fixed for April 16th.SGM is one of the leading companies in the entertainment and architectural lighting industry with more than 30 years of experience. The Company has a proven track record of success and counts on many prestigious references around the world.
RCF Group is one of the key players in the Pro Audio business worldwide and it is currently formed by the companies RCF and AEB (which owns the brand dB Technologies). Each brand is characterized by innovative new products and continuous investments in technology.

DVA flies high in Korean Churches
The first DVA church installation in South Korea. The “Shin An Church” is a typical medium sized Church measuring 35m x 25m with two floor, located in the Kwang Ju Province.President of Kusan Ki-Man Kim explained, “Many Churches suffer from troublesome acoustics giving problems of speech, so we suggested along with our local dealer, removing the old system and putting in the DVA Line Array”.

Event Summary
The 2008 Band Experiments was relaunched in the tradition of the original Band Experiments (running from 2000-2002) which focused on showcasing a wide range of acts from across the local musical spectrum.
A call out was made at the beginning of August for acts of all descriptions - from solo performers to full bands – to submit entries via the mammothguide.co.nz website. Over 45 acts applied and from this group, 16 acts were selected to contest the four heats, for a chance to reach the grand final.
Outside of the prize packages, all the bands involved benefited from exposure to large audiences, which is crucial to developing fan bases. A number of other spinoff effects have already resulted, including networking and collaborations starting between the different acts, as well as bands being billed for O’Week 2009, plus established bands, such as Cornerstone Roots personally selecting Knights of the Dub Table to play support slots for them on their summer tour.

Small Systems PA Hire fly DVA with large Qantas bird
The owners of Small Systems Productions Aust (SSPA) have been in the professional audio visual industry for over 30 years. From its origins as a hire company for professional performers, Small Systems has grown into a diverse business. Their services now include installations, rentals, service and sales to a wide range of professional, commercial and domestic clients.Small Systems PA Hire had their DVA system find a home in a Qantas hanger at Sydney Airport for two monumental events in September. The first one being the home-coming ceremony for the Australian Olympic Team (pictured with Kevin Rudd); and the other being the delivery of Qantas’s first Airbus A380 the largest airliner in the world.
‘I found the system worked perfectly in that environment’, says Chris Clough, Small Systems’ Managing Director. Using sixteen DVA T4 cabinets as well as two S20 subwoofers with the DRL system lifters, Small Systems managed to get the result they were after. According to Chris, ‘The coverage we got from the system was great. The vocals were nice and clear’.
With Channel 7’s Sunrise Show and the Today Show both broadcasting from the hanger, the media splitter was quite complex. Small Systems had to provide 36 separate media feeds to accommodate everyone on top of their standard left and right. ‘Everyone was very happy the whole gig went off with out a hitch’, says Chris.
Small Systems started to build their DVA system earlier this year and have plans of expanding to a full 32 T4 system which will give them 16 elements a side, plus a bunch of S20 subwoofers.

DVA Line Array Module - 5000 units sold
Since the first release of this very innovative active Line Array module in October 2006 , dBTechnologies has now produced the 5000th DVA T4 unit at the facilities in Bologna/Italy. Considering the short period of just about 19 months, this is a tremendous success and the best selling product for dBTechnologies right after the hotseller Opera-Series . PROSONIC CONVENTION 2007
Just recently dBTechnologies held the first in house trade fair, the ProSonic2007 at the MMC-Television studios in Cologne, Germany. Many German and a lot of European and International customers joined together, to get to see the latest product developments and listen to the new wooden active speaker series, the ARENA PRO and Fifty Line Plus. During the day a variety of seminars were on offer, including training sessions for the DVA Line Array. In the evening dBTechnologies put on a entertainment show for the guests which was the reward for a hard days work. Below you will find impressions of that day.
RCF and A.E.B. (dBTechnologies) conquer Milano Stock Exchange
Since the end of July 2007, RCF S.p.a. and A.E.B. Industriale (manufacturer of the brand dBTechnologies ) are joined together as a holding under the name of “RCF Group”, at the Milano Stock exchange.Managing Director and main shareholder is Mr. Arturo Vicari, who comments on this big step as follows:
“By going public, the RCF group drives its worldwide growth further and further. "Russebuss" Game Over 2007 equiped with dBTechnologies Fiftyline
After 12 years of school it`s finally time to celebrate, and the Norwegian way is to equip busses with audio systems made by dBTechnologies.This year the bus "Game Over 2007" chose the dBTechnologies Fiftyline setup consisting of 20 FL-18's, 10 FL-15's and 10 FL-10's, which should be suitable to keep the party going and any neighbours awake.
”Weight, sound quality and not at least the high SPL's is why we are using dBTechnologies products" says Thomas Dalby, owner of Sentrum lyd, who did the install. "These audio systems made by dBTechnologies are really being pushed to the limits, so choosing reliable products is essential. Imagine being the centre of the party and suddenly all the woofers go silent! Not an option for neither our customer or us. During the years, dBTechnologies has proved that their products just work.

We are pleased to announce that FIFTY LINE has been elected for the PA of the year 2004 by the readers of the German magazine Soundcheck. Claudio Ottani, chief engineer for dBTechnologies (on the left side), gratefully accepted the award on the first day of Frankfurt Musikmesse. He highly appreciated that his innovative concept of a compact and powerful active PA has found such a positive acknowledgement.

The final vote of confidence on how good a Speaker System really is, is by the way the Rental companies placed their orders.
Last Tuesday CMI Launched the dBTechnologies Fifty Line System and within 7 days have fully sold the total container shipment of the Fifty Line Systems arriving this month. All orders placed were from Audio Rental companies in Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sunshine Coast, and Tasmania.
Peter Trojkovic, director of CMI stated that this resounding vote of confidence by major rental companies is not only a statement on how good the Fifty Line System really is, but also a reinforcement of the confidence in the dBTechnologies range of products.
CMI have now commenced to solidify orders for the February shipment with those companies that have missed out on having a Fifty Line System for the busy New Year Eve period.
