Paul Panzer (Dieter Tappert), is a successful german entertainer and comedian who is now touring Germany with his third live act, Alles auf Anfang (Reset everything).

The fictional character Paul Panzer's career began with hilarious prank calls aired by a growing number of radio stations, his stand-up act won the German Comedy Award and was nominated for the best comedy show.

Tasked to underpin the comedian's live performances with excellent audio support, Traumland Ton invested in dBTechnologies DVA T8 for the German tour. The speakers also
figured prominently in recording made in Hamburg's o2 World arena to be released on DVD.

Commenting on this investment, Stefan Schäfer, managing director of Traumland Ton, says, "At first I wasn’t  looking for a powered system to take it out on tour.

However,  the sound of dB Technologies' DVA system was so convincing that I pulled the trigger. The DVA T8 impressed me at first hearing in the dBTechnologies showroom because the system sounds first-rate even without any processing. Glancing at the EQ, I noticed that none of the frequencies had been adjusted. And I hardly have to make any adjustments to the frequency response for the tour's various venues."

Schäfer was initially skeptical about powered systems because weight is a key concern on tour, as the ceiling load bearing capacity is sometime insufficient.  He changed his mind as soon as he learned more about the DVA T8: "I have to make sure that my sound system doesn't get too large or heavy. Passive speakers on the order of the DVA T8 can easily weigh twenty kilograms even without a controller.
I had been expecting the worst, but then I was told that a DVA T8 weighs just 14.2 kg. That put any remaining skepticism to rest."

One of the tour's highlights was a DVD recording of the new show performed in Hamburg's o2 World arena in front of an audience of 10,000, with a dBTechnologies system furnishing the audio support. The main PA was made up of two sets of 14 DVA T8s, while two sets of nine DVA T8s each served as out-fills. The center-fills consisted of four DVA T8s and two flown sets of four each S2585N Active Cardioid Subwoofers and six S1521N Active Bass Reflex Subwoofers provided low-end support.
