Rostocker Messe- und Stadthallengesellschaft mbH operates the two
largest event locations in the northeast of Germany, the StadtHalle [town hall]
and HanseMesse Rostock fairground.
These multifunctional venues accommodate visitors
and audiences ranging up to 5,500 and 10,000, respectively.
Today’s audiences have very discerning demands when it comes to audio
quality at conventions, fairs, and cultural events, so the firm’s management
decided it would need a mobile sound system that could be deployed in both
halls to support such diverse events.
The dBTechnologies DVA T4 line array beat out the competition. Weighing
in just 13.8 kg each, the DVA T4 top unit is extraordinarily light for such a
muscular system. And its range and sound pressure are nothing short of
remarkable given its featherweight design. In view of the system’s affordable
price and built-in amps and controllers, the decision to go with dB
Technologies was an even easier choice to make.
This versatile rig can be set up in many ways and adapted to the given
room in no time at all. Simulating changing room conditions is easily and
quickly done on the DVA Composer software’s GUI. The firm now has twelve DVA T4
units with cases, rigging harnesses and tripod adapters, as well as two DVA S10
18” bass bins and two DVA S30 2x18" subs for enhanced low-end response.
dBTechnologies Germany Product Manager Bernd Jung, dBTechnologies
Germany Area Manager North Frank Kasten, and Music-Town GmbH Project Manager
Dirk Rohde were on hand when this state-of-the-art sound system recently made
its debut in hall 1 of the Rostock StadtHalle.
