A huge dBTechnologies DVA & DVX system to power “Rio” Carnival in
San Luis, Argentina.

Did you know that Rio Carnival flights to Argentina once a year?

On March 21-23, the 6th edition of “Carnival de Rio en San
Luis” took place at San Luis “Sambadrome”. More than 3000 dancers and actors
wore wonderful costumes and paraded for 3 nights in front of an audience of 35,
000 people per day.

San Luis based Wanzo Sonido was the company in charge of technical equipment
and provided a totally dBTechnologies system consistent of a total amount of
206 active speakers. The San Luis’ Sambadrome was provided with 16 sound towers
carrying a total amount of 86 DVA T12+T4 modules. In addition to that, the
samba parade was powered by 3 “sound-trucks” on the move, equipped with 48 DVA
T12, 24 T4 and 16 DVX DM 15 and DM28 stage monitors, plus the “Carnival
Apotheosis” float equipped with 8 DVA T12, 8 DVA T8 and 4 DVX DM12. A
dBTechnologies system consistent of 12 DVX d12HP also provided sound for the
after-Carnival party.
