dBTechnologies' VIO L210 is the best Line Array system, category Medium Format, and INGENIA series is the best active speakers series, according to Pro Sound Web &Live Sound Readers' Choice Award.
The winners have been announced just before the opening of NAMM Show, the world’s largest trade-only event for the music products industry, which took place in Anaheim, California, on January 19-22 2017.
According to Readers’ Choice Awards organizers at Pro Sound Web Magazine, the articipation of both manufacturers as well as audience proved exceptional, and the races in each category were close and competitive, owing to the overall strength of every product entered.
Running in the category “Medium Format Line Array Systems, VIO L210 smart design seduced many of Pro Sound Readers. dBTechnologies R&D department succeded in creating a complete line-array system able to adapt to the most challenging acoustic contexts, while keeping in mind user-friendliness and easy solutions for storage and transport. In facts, each wooden VIO L210 top only weights 63 lbs. What is more, the 3-point rigging system and the dedicated transport carts allows super smooth set up and dismantling operations.
INGENIA series succeded in the category Active Loudspeaker thanks to their new concept design allowing them to work both in stand alone or couple mode, simply by turning one speaker upside down and locking it in place upon another.
Each column uses infra-red to detect the presence of a potential mate and activates a DSP syncing between columns. The ideal coverage and coherence is automatically calculated via a wizard, while users can alter the settings via a rotary encoder and a self-rotating OLED display.
The news of ProSound Web Readers Choice Award has been hailed enthusiastically by dBTechnologies’team at the manufacturer’s booth at NAMM Show. VIO and INGENIA have been displayed at NAMM SHOW, alongside with other dBTechnologies flagship products line, such as OPERA Series, DVA K line array&sub series, and the brand new B·Hype series.
