dBTechnologies 3.2.0.5523 allows to OPTIONALLY upgrade DVA T8 and DVA t12 firmware.
Thanks to this upgrade the system performances will benefit from FIR filters allowing a better high-freq coherency in array systems
and a consequent audio performance at a distance.
Moreover, linear-phase crossover allows a better coupling between arrayed modules.
WARNINGS
FIR filters introduce a bigger latency in DSP. Therefore it is mandatory to upgrade all the modules used in a line array system (DVA T8, DVA T12, or DVA T8+DVA T12).
Hence,
DO NOT USE FIR FILTERS UPGRADED DVA T8 WITH OTHERS DVA T8 IN THE SAME LINE ARRAY SYSTEM
DO NOT USE FIR FILTERS UPGRADED DVA T12 WITH OTHERS DVA T12 IN THE SAME LINE ARRAY SYSTEM
DO NOT USE FIR FILTERS UPGRADED DVA T8+dva T12 WITH OTHERS DVA T8+ DVA T12 IN THE SAME LINE ARRAY SYSTEM (hybrid system)
DO NOT USE DVA K5 SYSTEMS WITH DVA T SYSTEMS (BOTH WITH AND WITHOUT FIR FILTERS)
