Equalized Productions, specialists in installations, productions and rentals, traveled from Colorado to California  to get hands-on experience with a select group of loudspeaker brands at NAMM this past January. While they were there, their local dBTechnologies sales rep, Noel Darby, suggested they also check out a live demo of the new dBTechnologies VIO boxes. After meeting National Sales Manager Colin Studybaker the team decided to seriously consider dBTechnologies. 

Shortly after NAMM, President of Equalized Productions Dave Kistler and a few members of his team were flown to San Diego to witness the VIO system in action at live show. After experiencing in person the live application of the system, and taking part in the setup and tear down of the show, Dave’s mind was made up. “Along with the competitive pricing and great team of folks behind the VIO system, we decided to go with the VIO for a few other reasons as well,” says Kistler,  “The first was, of course, the impressive sound quality and performance. Second, and a given, the great look and overall functionality of the system.” 

Since joining the VIO family, Dave has had a chance to test the system out himself in their Denver, Colorado facilities. Dave commented, “The sound was incredible, and we’re excited to start using it on our shows this summer.” 

Equalized Productions will be using the system for several local shows in the coming months. “One great feature which helped with our decision-making process was the versatility of the system in multiple different scenarios.” Dave adds, “We can fly our new VIO L208 below our L210s, use the 208s for front fills, or we can set the 208s up on poles above our subs for smaller venue applications.  This allows us to serve more event scenarios with this system than the other systems we looked at.”
