On the occasion of its
50th anniversary,
AEB Industriale chose
Bologna's civic museums to celebrate and share this important milestone, offering the public a double gift: free admission to Bologna's civic museums during a weekend and the enjoyment of the widespread project
ART BEATS - Musei Civici di Bologna in Musica, which combines arts and music for an innovative form of amusement and participation.
The Bologna Civic Museums Sector and AEB Industriale have created a cultural project for inclusion and togetherness. On Saturday, Sept. 16, and Sunday, Sept. 17, 2023, visitors will exceptionally have free access to seven museum venues selected from all the six cultural areas in which the Bologna Civic Museums Sector is divided, during their respective opening hours: Civic Archaeological Museum, Civic Medieval Museum, Municipal Art Collections, MAMbo - Museum of Modern Art of Bologna, International Museum and Library of Music, Museum of Industrial Heritage and Civic Museum of the Risorgimento.
In addition to viewing and dialogue with art, the public will be able to listen to seven sound installations, each inspired by the associated museum collections, commissioned by AEB Industriale, from as many composers and musicians exponents of Bologna's multifaceted art scene. The visual appeal of these seven cultural venues in the city will merge into musical notes to offer an immersive experience for visitors. By creating a QR Code, each composition will remain available to the associated museum permanently for all interested parties to download during their visit.
For Eva Degl'Innocenti, director of the Bologna Civic Museums Sector,
"The collaboration with AEB Industriale, based on cultural co-design for the production of new sound works, represents a virtuous public-private collaboration that allows us to offer the public a new experience of enjoying our museums free of charge and to enrich a heritage and a land that are vectors of excellence in every sector."
For Arturo Vicari, founder and CEO of AEB Industriale,
"A passion for music and the desire to bring to thousands of people the emotions that great artists are capable of arousing have guided me in growing AEB Industriale. A corporate success story that is turning fifty and that I wish to share with the city of Bologna by giving the thrill of entering a museum where art can be seen and heard."
With this important initiative that is the result of an agreement with the Civic Museums of Bologna, AEB Industriale, a company founded in Bologna in 1973, wants to tell the story of the long path traveled under the sign of shared growth, promoting in a new way a cultural heritage of outstanding excellence, underlining its connection with the city and contributing to spread culture and passion for music. Over the years, this devotion has been transformed into decades of experience in the professional audio sector, leading the company to become an international leader in the design and production of sound systems for significant events worldwide.
