dBTechnologies USA is excited to announce that Darrin Young, known in the pro audio industry as B-SIDE, has joined the company as the new Director of Sales for North America. Darrin brings a wealth of expertise and a fresh perspective to his new role, with a proven track record in sales, marketing, training, and driving strategic market growth.
Darrin’s passion for music began at a young age, playing multiple instruments before establishing himself as a DJ and music producer. His early experiences traveling internationally sparked a lifelong passion for global ventures. His professional career in the pro audio industry began in 1999 with Stanton Magnetics, where he played a key role in the company’s growth into the Stanton Group—a portfolio that includes iconic brands like Cerwin-Vega, KRK Systems, and Stanton DJ.
Following Stanton’s acquisition by Gibson Guitars, Darrin was one of the select few retained to support the Gibson Pro Audio division. Operating out of Nashville, TN, he traveled worldwide, training distributors, leading workshops and demonstrations at tradeshows.
After returning to South Florida in 2014, Darrin quickly rose through the ranks at DAS Audio of America, to Vice President of Sales & Marketing. His achievements included a remarkable 300%+ increase in U.S. sales and broadening the brand’s audience through strategic market positioning. His ability to turn market insights into effective product development initiatives played a significant role in DAS Audio’s growth in the U.S.
Darrin’s diverse experience spans all market verticals, including retail, touring/production, and installation/integration. His passion for the pro audio industry, combined with his global experience uniquely positions him to support dBTech USA’s continued growth.
