Description
The central swearing-in ceremony of the police of North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany) was a festive affair. In the LANXESS arena in Cologne, around 2,770 police commissioner candidates and government inspector candidates of the North Rhine-Westphalian police took their oath of office. For the first time since the beginning of the Corona pandemic, the relatives of the future police officers were also able to take part in the ceremony, which traditionally ended with tossing the cap. The VIO system provided the perfect acoustic setting for the event. To provide such a large hall and so many people with sound, a little more dBTechnologies power is needed, of course. In addition, due to the diversity of the programme items, the PA system has to ensure perfect speech intelligibility as well as music reproduction live and recorded. In addition to state politicians and representatives of the police, the event was livened up with a lot of live music, among others by the state police orchestra. The VIO line array system delivered this perfection and flexibility with flying colours.
To make the event unforgettable for the future commissioner candidates and government inspector candidates, Rome - Technology for Events used quite consistent number of modules. To the right and left of the stage hung 12 units of the active three-way line array VIO L212 as main PA plus 2 VIO 1610 as downfill. As sidefill, also hanging directly right and left in front of the stage, 12 units each of the VIO L208 model were used. At the edge of the stage, the Technology for Events team placed 8 Ingenia IG1T as nearfill speakers. The PA system was completed by 12 VIO S218 subwoofers in cardioid placement directly in front of the stage.
