dBTechnologies presents upgrades for the VIO family at Prolight & Sound in Frankfurt, Germany: A new full scale line array, sub and point source systems. Plus: upgrades for INGENIA, OPERA and B H series. 

Frankfurt’s Pro Light + Sound stages the world premiere for dBTechnologies’ VIO L212, a full scale active line array system designed for large touring applications, completed by active subwoofer VIO S218 and point source series VIO X.  A live outdoor demonstration is dedicated to VIO L208, the most compact line array of the family, combined with new single 18” active subwwofer VIO S118R.  dBTechnologies chooses PL+S to introduce upgrades for INGENIA powered speaker series, now ready for full network capability thanks to new accessory RDNet EH, and B Hype family, introducing new battery powered model B Hype M. 

VIO L212 

The first dBTechnologies' full scale line array module designed for large touring sound reinforcement applications, concurrently providing mighty output capability, optimized coverage behaviour, alongside with rapid and easily configurable rigging solutions.

With VIO L212, dBTechnologies makes the most of its approach to sound reinforcement solutions. An advanced DSP provides highly accurate intelligibility, sound definition and stunning headroom; Integrated mechanics and accessories provides smart solutions to ease set-up, transport and storage of the systems. Last but not least, dBTechnologies was able to pack great sound pressure levels into one of the most compact and lightest active 2x12” line array enclosure.

The new active subwoofer VIO S218 is the perfect partner for VIO L212 in larger applications. A simple, effective dual sub configuration designed to enhance the reproduction of the lowest frequencies, boosted by an advanced DSP control and complete network capability. 

VIO L208 

Offering lighter and faster rigging elements, featuring an unique acoustic design, combining long throw and detailed audio performance, the new VIO L208 is both a powerful yet compact stand-alone line array system, and a fully compatible down-fill for VIO L210+ VIOL208 hybrid systems, completed by VIO S Active subwoofers. 

VIO X series 

Conceived as a point-source completion for the VIO family, the new VIO X series encompasses 3 wooden cabinets (10” 12” and 15”), featuring linear phase FIR filters, complete networkability via Aurora Net software and providing a broad spectrum of professional applications. In facts, VIO X serves impressively as a stand alone (stacked,  flown or wall-mounte) PA system,  as full range PA or in combination with VIO S118 subs, but also act as the perfect side-fill,  delay or stage monitoring system in larger VIO sound reinforcement applications. 

INGENIA RDNet EH 

INGENIAseries represents  a one-of-its-kind system in active speakers’ scenario: not a simple active speaker, not a column system, not a conventional line source system.  All models are designed to work individually, but they can also be coupled. Thanks to infrared technology, INGENIA detects the presence of a second speaker, and an onboard-configuration wizard automatically sets up the system in order to ensure the best coverage and acoustic coherence. Now INGENIA’s advanced DSP runs even further by adding remote control capability to the system in use.  In facts, thanks to RDNet-EH, all Ingenia speakers can be remote-controlled via Rd Net protocol and Aurora Net software, adding further versatility and ease of use to one of dBTechnologies’ more complete systems.
