dBTechnologies participates in
Gente di Mare a brand-new concept-event transforming the Milanese dock into a place of music and arts.
The first Gente di Mare event - hosted by Guado Officine Creative - took place on Sunday, July 19th at Cascina del Guado, a real "artists' house", a place surrounded by the green just a few kilometers from Milan. The concept includes workshops, exhibitions, and, above all, a lot of live music featuring the Milanese singer-songwriter Pollio and the raw-blues band There will be blood on a suggestive stage set up on the water.
The PA consists of: 4 IG4T (2 per side) in stack coupled with 2 VIO S118R (1 per side).
Creator and curator of the event, Andrea Ficara - Sound Engineer with international experience - who explained needs and solutions adopted in this particular context, "We wanted a stage that would fit perfectly into the frame we were in, bearing in mind that we had no hanging point for the system. The couple of INGENIA with VIO provided a complete and homogeneous coverage with the right live 'push', fully overcoming the water obstacle and respecting at the same time the cleanliness of the stage, and enhancing the natural background of the park. Thanks to the cardioid configuration we avoided excessive volumes to the houses behind the stage; the satisfaction was complete also on the aesthetic side. The ease of transport and assembly of the IG4T was fundamental in such a particular context and we already know that they’ll be main PA also for the next appointment, because thanks to the digital steering we’ll be able to adapt the system to particular arenas or spaces that need a different coverage. Assembly and setup were simple, fast; the audio performance totally met expectations".
Gente di Mare is an experiment of success, a sign of initiative and a prophetic wish for the future of live shows, but it is also the collective name of all those who gathered to make it possible: "Gente di Mare" means imagination, know-how, and willingness to find new and pragmatic solutions to the organizational, technical and bureaucratic issues that arise in this complex historical moment.
