The annual Milwaukee-based event dedicated to Celtic-Irish culture and tradition achieved success with exceptional figures and supersonic appreciation.
The festival attendance was about 85,000, plus 4500 volunteers and artists from 18 to 21 August at the Maier Festival Park.
The Audio Biz team provided the VIO Series premium touring technology to sound the Ciderboys Rock (Summerfest Uline) Stage, which was built to gather a broad audience with 9,551 as Overflow Capacity, 7,300 during the Full Show (including Standing Room), and 6,703 as Seated Capacity; this stage was prominent and welcomed dozens of shows from Glencastle Irish Dancers, Kinsella Academy of Irish Dance, Gleasons, Reilly, Radiation, Enter the Haggis, Skerryvore, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, and Scottish Rock Show. Other areas were serviced by dB speakers powering the Ed Ward Archives, Gaeltacht, and Hedge School live performances.
Following the project's great success, the team now has precise feedbacks about the experience: "The VIO rig performed flawlessly and sounded outstanding. The union and guest engineers were all very impressed with the system and commented how easy it was to make the rig sound great. That sentiment was echoed by all the other guest engineers that heard the system when not at their respective stages, as well as the PM crew and Entertainment Committee of IF2022. The marquee event of the festival, Saturdays Scottish Rock Show, featured members of many groups and filled the area beyond the standard seating, which the dB rig easily exceeded expectations."
