dBTechnologies participates with pride in the re-opening of one of the most prestigious and fascinating opera houses in the world, which today becomes a symbol of determination as well as excellence: the
Amazonas Theatre is in fact the first large performance hall to reopen its doors in Brazil. On September 1, 2020, in full compliance with health prevention measures, the official re-launch ceremony was held.
In its latest and definitive form, Teatro Amazonas is equipped with a completely new audio system supplied and designed by Importadora Carioca, official dBTechnologies distributor for the State of Amazonas, which is also offering technical support for maintenance, sound insulation consulting, and training to the theater's technical staff for the correct management of dBTechnologies systems. This is an important and delicate project, designed specifically to make the most out of the acoustic potential; the sound system has been defined respecting the preservation of all architectural elements of a venue that is an international historical heritage.
Portable, agile, versatile, remotely manageable, and powerful: these are the PA’s special features ensuring optimal acoustic coverage for the 701 seats distributed between the stalls and three levels of stages.

The entire installation was supervised and realized by Adinamar and Leonardo Pineiro from Importadora Carioca, who pointed that the choice of dBTechnologies was fundamental in order to provide an efficient and powerful audio system fully enhancing the variety of the Theatre’s cultural proposal. "We are happy to be part of this project, which celebrates our greatest contribution to the culture and artists of our State" said Leonardo Pineiro during the ceremony that established the partnership between Importadora Carioca and the Amazonas Theatre. "We have settled in this city, in the sound and audio equipment market, and we want to repay this welcome, all the affection that the city has for us".
Great satisfaction was also expressed by the managers of the Theatre in the figure of Marcos Apolo Muniz as Secretary of Culture of the State of Amazonas, ”With the new audio equipment, the audience will have a better experience, a digital sound quality that will get the best from the acoustics of the hall on all floors; the artists will also benefit as from now on the technical team will be able to provide a careful and complete service to those who perform on this stage".
Inaugurated in 1886, the Amazonas Theater was designed by merging the typical dictates of Italian theater and an eclectic style that was born from the combination of the work of builders, painters, sculptors and decorators from different parts of Europe to achieve what is now considered a symbol of the city and a fundamental part of the architectural heritage of Brazil; managed directly by the Secretariat of Culture of the State of Amazonas, this theatre is the most important cultural center for the city and a reference point for local and international culture, thanks to a live music program that combines opera, symphonic, jazz, contemporary and folkloric dance.
