VIO L208 wins the comparisons and conquers the permanent installation at
Banquet House "Renaissance" in
Odesa, Ukraine. An aesthetically attractive audio project was carried out in this very popular event multiplex facility dedicated to corporate parties and special events. The news comes from

Everything started from one simple but crucial point: upgrading the resident PA. The last system installed worked for more than 15 years, and the complex strictly needed a modern and efficient one. After considering several brands and options, it was decided to focus on premium Italian dBTechnologies acoustics with VIO L208 from VIO Series and the subwoofers complement VIO S118 as the most appropriate for the tasks.
Lightek’s Sound Engineers Oleksii Malainyi and Andrey Oprya developed a project that met the wishes of the property by also taking into consideration the characteristics of the venue as a tech focus to realized an acoustic project especially customized on particular shape and functions: in fact, Banquet House isn’t just a fixed room, but a transforming hall, which can be either one large hall or two smaller halls; the rooms are currently separated by a mobile partition wall that can be installed quickly, if necessary.
The two engineers studied and developed a double system that could operate in several modes: joint (main system + delay) and independent when both systems by themselves and sound their part of the room. At the same time, according to the conditions, interference with the existing architecture and design of the hall was not allowed, so the new system had to be in the place of the previous one and in white color to guarantee the room a discreet and elegant glance.
“This was a huge leap forward compared to the previous system. Now it is a modern set with RD-Net control. Thanks to the new thing, the coverage and tonal balance have significantly improved, a large headroom has appeared, and due to the directionality of the line array, the number of parasitic reflections from the ceiling has decreased.” (Lightek)
The final project results in 2 independent systems usable as Main + delay:
Main hall: 10 VIO L208 in white + 6 VIO S118 in white
Delay/second hall: 8 VIO L208 in white + 2 VIO S118 in white
