After being delayed many times due to the Corona pandemic, the wholly renovated town hall in
Ybbs on the Danube opened in late 2021. Located directly on the banks of the Danube, the “
Stadthalle Ybbs” proves that such “functional buildings” can create architectural highlights. Clear lines and reduced architecture characterise the building. Inside, the town hall is characterised by a high degree of multifunctionality, which allows for a varied programme, from meetings, conferences, concerts, theatre, congresses, trade fairs, seminars, presentations to customer or employee events.
The location’s versatile and differently sized rooms are suitable for all conceivable events - for 850 seats or up to 1,200 people. The newly installed media technology perfectly accompanies the flexible room concept. The new sound system from dBTechnologies plays a significant role in this concept.
Günther Oberleitner and his company manage both the technology and the events taking place in Ybbs’ town hall and took care of the sound system’s installation. To equip the stage, he relies on 2 INGENIA IG4T modules, each as headstacks (right and left), supplemented with one IG1T module each as frontfill. All sound components were permanently installed in the town hall. As delay speakers, 10 INGENIA IG1T modules were installed around the room and attached to the columns. The large hall also has a gallery, which is equipped with 2 INGENIA IG3T and 4 VIO X205 (100 degrees).
Günther Oberleitner on the selection and use of the INGENIA models: “The Stadthalle in Ybbs is designed as a multifunctional hall. Therefore a permanently installed and basic sound system must, first of all, cover as many different types of events as possible. With the dBTechnologies modules of the INGENIA range, we are very flexible in our daily use. The loudspeakers perfectly match the clear architecture of the building and convince all partners with their balanced and detailed sound. In addition, adjustments to the sound reinforcement for different events are easy and quick thanks to the control possibilities offered by the Aurora Net system.”
The INGENIA series is characterised by a detailed reproduction and is particularly suitable for fixed installations due to its discreet appearance. The INGENIA modules are active 2-way loudspeakers equipped with a high-performance DSP with high dynamics and naturalness. Further dBTechnologies own developments, such as CEC or an integrated IR transmitter, open up a wide range of customisation options. INGENIA’s horn design is horizontally symmetric and vertically asymmetric: this way, horizontal dispersion is wide and constant while vertical dispersion is narrow in the upper part and wider in the lower part. The active modules can communicate with each other via the integrated IR transmitter without additional cabling.
