VIO Series becomes resident PA for Unipol Arena in Bologna, Italy. An installation that marks the completion of an exciting sound reinforcement project in one of the most prestigious structures in Italy, a hot-spot for music and events, a bridge between arts and public, a multifunctional and multidimensional space by vocation. For the full-scale line array system VIO L212, this is the most congenial ecosystem to fully exploit the most advanced features of the VIO technology.
THE VIO Series PA
The project includes a complex and carefully calibrated articulation to cover a large main acoustic area hosting big productions and audiences, to which a conference area is added, powered by the dBTechnologies VIO X brand systems.
The MAIN: 24 VIO L212 in 2 clusters, which perform the task of sounding the south stand, optionally used as resident delay.
61 VIO L208 divided into 11 clusters are added to the Main, completing the acoustic coverage of the concert area with a 20 meters high hanging.
18 VIO S218 are available as subwoofer complements for the main VIO L212, which during the event is positioned in the stage area.
The conference area is sonorized by 7 VIO X205-100 systems and performs the task of delay in the concert set-up.
The whole sound system is remotely controlled and managed by Aurora Net software and the cabinets are equipped with the must-have firmware 2.0
UNIPOL ARENA
With a total size of 5300 m² and a capacity of 20,000 seats, Unipol Arena is the largest theater in Italy; equipped with a truss of 1,300 m², 5 big screens of 6.70x5 meters, a “tunnel for stars”, 9 cafes, a press room, and other services, it looks like a multi-equipped, cutting-edge place in constant evolution.
