VIO technology is chosen to support the sound monitoring of the
Jazz in Duketown 2021 Edition. Four days of live music, 28 artists, up to 75,000 people building a strong online audience.
The recent limitations that have affected the enjoyment of live shows haven't stopped the brand new version of one of the most refined European Jazz festivals able to give space to a long list of excellent musicians and artists of the genre year after year.
The 47th edition of Jazz in Duketown has been a resounding success that clearly showed the love of the public for live music and the ability to reorganize an exciting and important initiative in a new form under the sign of safety.
This year the lineup was still very rich and represented by renowned and young names coming from Netherlands and Belgium such as Typhoon & Jef Neve, New Cool Collective, Cargo Mas, Alexander, Nausyqa, Peter Bueets Quintet, Doppler Trio, Marit Van Der Lei Nextet, Berget Lewis & S!R, and many others.
Moreover, during the kermesse, nearly every artist and a wide range of interesting guests gathered for an interview in the studio of the new Jazz in Duketown TV; these live broadcasts, lasting a total of about 20 hours, were seen by about 10,000 people. Interesting conversations came up about music, the absence of shows during the past year, and the importance of culture and events for the global society.
To create the right conditions for the numerous live performances and be ready to stream them, it was necessary to equip the Jazz in Duketown technical team with a monitoring system and all the necessary audio complements; for these successful 4 days of music were used: the advanced VIO X205 loudspeaker system for the FOH monitoring together with the Ingenia system IG1T and the 915 subwoofer complement; in addition, the VIO W10 wedge system was used for the monitoring of the Jazz Café.
