Açıklama

Gasteig is a cultural center in Munich, opened in 1985, which hosts the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. The Richard Strauss Conservatory, the Volkshochschule, and the municipal library are all located in the Gasteig. Most of the events of the Filmfest München, and many of the events of the Munich Biennale take place here.

The Philharmonie im Gasteig is one of the largest concert halls in Germany and recently has added 8 VIO X205-100 active 2-way modules from dBTechnologies to their equipment pool to support the main audio system of the hall. Because of their active design, size and specifications, the VIO X205 systems are perfectly suited to complement the existing active main system. Additionally, the VIO X205 showed excellent sonic characteristics that perfectly matched the existing system.

The VIO X205 systems are used in different locations depending on the requirements and the program and were used for the first time in the production “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - In Concert” with the Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra. The concert series has now reached the fourth volume of the Harry Potter series, and the Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra played Patrick Doyle’s soundtrack of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire live. At the same time, the full film could be seen in brilliant HD image quality on a big screen.

For the live-set, the eight VIO X205-100 modules were placed in a vertical position along the edge of the stage and distributed on the floor to support the main PA as front fills. The VIO X205-100 modules offer a 100° x 100° beam angle and, for this production, were installed using the WB-VIOX205V (vertical bracket mount) with a 5° tilt.

Because of the built-in network capability, the additional VIO X205 modules could be easily controlled and integrated into the existing audio network. The front fills can be controlled via the mixing console or separately via audio processors, depending on the requirements.
