In the monumental setting of Plaza Congreso, Buenos Aires, CAIO deployed a VIO system for Marcho por Jesús, a major gathering combining live music and spoken word across an audience area extending approximately 250 meters.
The scale and architecture of the square presented a demanding coverage scenario, with buildings, trees and monuments requiring a system capable of delivering high SPL and long throw while maintaining consistent distribution and speech intelligibility throughout the audience area.
“The main challenge is for everyone to hear evenly. And then, for it to be loud enough to meet the client’s actual needs,” explains Juan Francisco Olivares, Services Manager at CAIO.
The main PA featured 36 VIO L212, with 18 modules per side flown at approximately 13 meters, complemented by 4 VIO L212 as front fills. 8 VIO L1610 were deployed as outfills, while another 12 VIO L1610 formed the delay system, extending coverage toward Avenida de Mayo and the furthest areas of the square.
“The height allows you to reach farther, which is what we particularly needed for this event,” Juan explains.
With speech playing a central role alongside a full live band, intelligibility and frequency response were equally important. “dBTechnologies allows us to achieve excellent intelligibility during the preaching, in this case with the pastors, while also providing a great frequency response for the entire band.”
The extensive deployment was monitored through Aurora Net, providing centralized control over the individual enclosures throughout the event.
The project also reflects the relationship between CAIO and Todomúsica, dBTechnologies’ distributor in Argentina and a long-standing technology partner for the company. “Whenever there was an issue, they responded immediately. We are always very satisfied with them, especially with Eliseo Cuciniello, Sales Manager at Todomúsica,” Juan adds.
For CAIO, the Plaza Congreso event marks another large-scale deployment of its growing VIO inventory, demonstrating how VIO L212 and VIO L1610 can work together to deliver controlled, consistent coverage across one of Buenos Aires’ most distinctive urban settings.
