DEINspeisesalon's audio installation

The thoughtful audio concepts and speakers enable stylish event venues like DEINspeisesalon in Cologne's Ehrenfeld district (Germany) to integrate new facets into their ambiance and use. Since 2015, a team of 49 employees, led by Jutta Landkotsch and Sepp Zimmermann, has managed a venue at Ehrenfeld's Kontrastwerk that conveys a unique urban flair with its architecture, style, and exceptional food concept. Originating from the event and backstage catering for top national and international artists, DEINspeisesalon aims to offer its extraordinary catering concept at its location. DEINspeisesalon is versatile and suitable for wedding receptions, corporate events, conferences, studio productions, or galas, combining outstanding catering with a mix of architectural and interior design.

Now, the features of dBTechnologies audio components are also in use at DEINspeisesalon, allowing flexible usage concepts of the venue and integrating seamlessly into the stylish ambiance because of their discreet design. For this purpose, the event technology service provider, dreimeister Veranstaltungstechnik GmbH, has installed 4x VIO X205 and 4x LVX8 units at DEINspeisesalon. The indoor area of nearly 300 sqm is divided into an event room, a welcoming area, and a buffet area, accommodating up to 180 people, depending on the layout. A 600 sqm outdoor area, often used for aperitifs or sundowners, complements the offerings.

In the event room, four active point-source speakers VIO X205 are vertically integrated into the visible cable ducts beneath the ceiling. Despite their compact size, these powerful speakers can fill the room with a clear and balanced soundscape, making them ideal for business events and lively celebrations. In the welcome and buffet areas, four more units of the active multifunctional speakers LVX8 in white are used as wall-mounted installations. They not only visually complement the interior but also provide a pleasant auditory experience that appropriately enhances the culinary offerings of the catering.

Bastian Bahl from dreimeister Veranstaltungstechnik GmbH said about the installation: "The four VIO X205 units, although comparatively small, still ensure balanced sound for background music and speeches, and also create atmosphere when it needs to be louder. The same goes for the white LVX8, which harmonizes with the interior design and enhances the overall impression of the space."
