Our First Spanish-Language VIO Training & Demo in Puerto Rico

dBTechnologies brought the acclaimed VIO Series to Puerto Rico for the company’s first Spanish-language training and demo event on the island.

Over three days, system owners, engineers, and audio professionals gathered at El Patio Fusion Lounge in Dorado for a deep dive into VIO technology and a hands-on listening experience.

The event combined two days of technical training with a full public demo on day three. Systems featured included VIO L1610 flown eight per side with VIO S218 subs, additional VIO L1610s as outfills, ground stacked VIO L208s , VIO X310s as front fills, and VIO W15T wedges on stage. The setup was designed as a real-world show system.

Nicola Dres, VP of Sales, dBTechnologies USA opened the seminar with dBTechnologies origin story, highlighted the brand’s growing impact in Puerto Rico, and its plans for the future. Technical sessions covered the touring grade VIO line in detail—from system architecture and AuroraNet control to EASE Focus modeling—and concluded with a non-traditional listening demo led by a respected local engineer.

Attendees, including some of the island’s most recognized mixing engineers, praised the VIO L1610 for its impressive SPL and vocal clarity in such a compact cabinet, while the VIO X310 and W15T wedges stood out for precision and musicality.

More than 60 professionals participated, marking a milestone moment for the VIO network in Puerto Rico and setting the stage for future Spanish-language events across the region.
