In the summer of 2021, at the fascinating complex of the Certosa di San Lorenzo di Padula, Double Sky Festival hosted immersive paths in art: from photography to exhibitions through workshops and masterclasses; fundamental parts of this initiative and highly awaited protagonists, however, are the music and scenic representations, thanks to a rich calendar of events that crossed the different currents of jazz with wide spaces reserved to theatre and dance.
The acoustic project carried out by l’Altroservice involved the following systems:
16 VIO L212 + 8 VIO S218 in cardioid configuration
4 VIO L210 as down fills
4 VIO X205 as front fills
Plus, 10 wedge monitors DVX DMTH15-12
The audio system was designed, installed, and managed by the PA-Man Francesco Fontanella, with the support of the audio technicians Maurizio Cincotti and Mario Plaitano of L’Altroservice team. The sounding of the ambient has been a complex and exciting challenge, to which the team has responded with determination in the use of the full-scale line array VIO L212; Luigi Monteforte, the owner of L’Altroservice, declared, "The choice fell on VIO L212 with a VIO L210 downfill for an optimal coverage of the area. We wanted to install a ‘different’ PA from the usual ones, not using a system with double 10" as Main, to have a greater frequency response on the mid-bass. The subs were in cardioid gradient configuration with inverted stack in front of the stage, to allow us to keep the stage clean, given the presence of many microphones for recording instruments. We've been using VIO products for large events successfully for some time now, thanks to their optimal performance and reliability. With the new update of the Aurora Net software, we have gained further control over the systems. Everyone was pleased with the result and truly satisfied".
Among the faces that have walked the stage and made the nights of Certosa magical: Gianluca Petrella, Javier Girotto & Aires Tango, Peppe Servillo, Luca Aquino, Fabrizio Bosso, Daniele Roccato, Giovanni Guidi, Francesco Bearzatti, Michele Rabbia, and many others.
