What Client Says

“This is an optimal and optimized installation, a high-quality equipment for our Event Hall. The new audio system allows greater definition of individual sound sources; this is noticeable from the soundcheck phase, where, thanks to increased acoustic definition, we are able to ‘sculpt’ the sounds of individual instruments, enhancing them at their best."
Enrico Tabellini [Head of Public Program and Collections at the International Museum and Library of Music]

On one of the most iconic streets in the historic center of Bologna stands the International Museum and Library of Music, a place of culture and centuries-old musical knowledge. Located within the fascinating architectural setting of Palazzo Sanguinetti, a 16th-century building, the museum offers a rich and vast variety of prestigious musical collections, featuring some of the most important 'unica' in the world.

Through a structured and engaging journey across corridors and exhibition rooms, where portraits, scores, collections, and musical instruments create compelling aesthetic, historical, and conceptual junctions, the path eventually opens into an area entirely dedicated to musical performance and representation. Here, conferences are held and classical and contemporary artists perform live concerts, such as in (S)nodi, one of the most successful summer series.
The Event Hall features an interior with a 19th-century style and a capacity of approximately 90 seats. The room’s acoustics have been carefully designed to avoid unpleasant reverberation, and the wooden stage, positioned opposite the entrance, evokes the tradition of classical theater.

The dBTechnologies audio systems, from the IS and VIO W series, are now the new permanent audio setup designed to provide sound coverage for the Hall, in a powerful and flexible installation. The PA, in black finish, consists of the following configuration: 2 units of the IS210T system, completed by 2 IS118S subwoofer systems; on stage, 2 VIO W10s are used for artist and speaker monitoring, while 2 IA3204R amplifiers complete the setup.

Enrico Tabellini, Head of Public Program and Collections at the International Museum and Library of Music, commented on the performance of the new audio system as follows:
“This is an optimal and optimized installation, a high-quality equipment for our Event Hall. The new audio system allows greater definition of individual sound sources; this is noticeable from the soundcheck phase, where, thanks to increased acoustic definition, we are able to ‘sculpt’ the sounds of individual instruments, enhancing them at their best.
The two speakers in the configuration are very powerful, but whenever there’s a need to control and lower the volume, the detail and clarity remain unchanged, achieving a harmonious and consistent sound balance.”
