PIANO DAY ft. Maestro Daniel Aspuru at the Teatro de la Ciudad de Esperanza Iris.

Maestro Daniel Aspuru developed the musical project using a quadraphonic approach and created an immersive sensation at Teatro de la Ciudad de Esperanza Iris.

On April 5th, a concert was held at the Teatro de la Ciudad de Esperanza Iris (designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987) to commemorate the worldwide celebration of PIANO DAY, a celebration of this wonderful instrument and an inspiration to thousands of musicians throughout history.

Maestro Daniel Aspuru is the musician who developed this musical idea with a quadraphonic sound approach and an immersive sonic sensation. This approach was supported by engineer Gonzalo Chacho Peniche, an expert and connoisseur of immersive experiences and a lover of the quadraphonic format.

The creative challenge was very impressive, as the Piano Day project not only includes the piano instrument. The project was also accompanied by the POLARIS string quartet. Pre-production was done in advance, as it involves sequences and atmospheres, and also includes a saxophone, which adds incredible, clear and atmospheric sounds.

The technical complexity was an additional challenge, one that Chacho Peniche, accompanied by Ampere Manufacturas - official dBTechnologies Mexico distributor - and the dBTechnologies Latam team, carefully addressed.

The project was to provide audiences with perfect listening throughout the venue. Being a multi-level theater, it required a very specific design to provide quadraphonic coverage and experience on all levels. Coverage included the ground floor, first floor, second floor, and third floor.

On stage, Maestro Daniel Aspuru relied on quadraphonic monitoring provided by two dBTechnologies ES 1203 systems in stereo mode.

The whole sound system were deployed with the following equipment:

MAIN: 16 DVA T12 in L-R configuration with 8 modules per side

INFILL: VIO X206 in 2 units per side
