Equipaggiato con 2 woofer da 18” accoppiati in un voluminoso cabinet in configurazione bass reflex, VIO S218 garantisce prestazioni sonore vigorose e un punch deciso anche nelle frequenze più basse, in una gamma che si estende verso il basso fino a 28Hz: la perfetta estensione sub per il line array VIO in applicazioni di rinforzo sonoro di grandi dimensioni.
Il potenziale acustico del sub è guidato da 2 amplificatori in Classe D Digipro G4® per un totale di 3200 W RMS. 
L’alimentazione SMPS è provvista di PFC (Power Factor Corrector) per la massima efficienza, consumi limitati e compatibilità con l’alimentazione della maggior parte dei paesi (da 90V a 265V 50/60 Hz). Inoltre l’alimentatore protegge da danni gli amplificatori in caso di picchi indesiderati a 380 V. 
IPOS (Intelligent Power-On Sequence) è una tecnologia esclusiva del modulo amplificatore del VIO S218: si tratta di un circuito che protegge la sequenza di accensione delle singole unità di un PA: in questo modo, ogni unità si accende ad un preciso momento, limitando l’afflusso di corrente anche in presenza di molte unità in PA molto estesi. 
Il modulo preamplificatore è provvisto di slot modulare per card di espansione: di serie, VIO L212 monta la card RD Net che abilita il sistema al controllo remoto tramite software Aurora Net. Il preamplificatore è anche predisposto per futuri upgrades per comunicazione via protocollo AoIP Audinate DanteTM . A questo scopo VIO L212 è equipaggiato con sensori di prossimità NFC e LED frontali che permettono di indentificare la posizione di ogni elemento e associarlo agli appositi oggetti nel software di controllo Aurora Net. 
Il modulo amplificatore permette anche di effettuare un auto test sui trasduttori per verificarne lo stato prima e dopo l’uso e verificare l’impedenza in tempo reale: uno strumento semplice che permette all’utilizzatore un controllo costante sull’affidabilità del PA. 
Il modulo delay integrato permette di impostare direttamente dal sub fino a 9.9 ms di ritardo con step di 0.1 ms, mentre un massimo di 58 ms di ritardo può essere impostato via software Aurora Net.  
Il pulsante cardioid processa automaticamente il sub retroverso in configurazioni stack a gradiente invertito, in modo da ottenere la massima cancellazione del suono nell’area retrostante l’array di sub.  
Inoltre, il preamplificatore è dotato di isolamento ottico digitale, che evita l'accoppiamento delle masse audio, impedendo di fatto ogni eventuale rumore creato dalle differenze di potenziale.
 Il cabinet è rinforzato da una robusta copertura in poliurea ed è dotato da 4 maniglie in alluminio per lato. Il mosulo amplificatore è sempre protetto da pioggia e umidità grazie al raincover integrato. Il dolly transport DO-VIO S318 permette il trasporto di 3 sub simultaneamente, su ruote o su muletto. In alternativa al dolly, il sub può essere trasportato singolarmente montando le apposite ruote sul pannello posteriore.

This technology, together with a hi-brightness LED bulb on the front of the enclosure, contributes to help the user to recognize and match each box with their position on the remote control software.

Opto-isolated PreampThe floating audio input design grants a digital optical isolation between earth ground from the mains and the audio ground flowing into the Preamplifier board.This galvanic isolation greatly improves resistance to interferences and any unwanted buzzing and noises.

RDNet
RDNetDigital net for bi-directional control of connected devices. The acronym RDNet originates from the development, on behalf of RCF and dBTechnologies, of a universal network which allows adjustments in real time and supervision of all the connected systems, using cables based on ethernet cat 5 wires. With the specific software and the interfaces control 2 and control 8, a complete command of the acoustic system will be possible allowing real time supervision on each electrical component of the various speakers. RDNet allows you to monitor levels, limiters, and temperatures, select system presets, configure setups off-line, Mute units, Group modules and assigning group EQ, delay and phase, test individual components, automatically address system components, tap into LAN and USB interfaces, extend the network via wireless LAN access points.
