Description

"Refined familiarity" is perhaps the expression that best describes the activity of La Bottega di Franco: a business that was born in the heart of Bologna's vibrant city center and has continued boldly to this day, thanks to the entrepreneurial spirit of a family that believes in authentic, high-quality cuisine and the art of hospitality. Today, the restaurant is one of the most sought-after places in the city precisely because of its ability to mix the old and the new, to preserve and nurture the roots of the past while reinterpreting them for the present, and to fully harness the taste and creativity of its ingredients and spaces.

La Bottega di Franco is a meeting place where food & drink are central but never isolated: music is in the DNA, the perfect accompaniment for all those who appreciate tradition while fully living it in the present, starting with the ambient sounds.
Through the vision of the family and Giacomo Saltarelli, owner and project manager, La Bottega di Franco has undergone numerous transformations over the years. The venue now boasts a significant extension, with well-organized and fully equipped indoor and outdoor areas, enriched by highly creative interior design that is consistent across all its numerous expressions.

Acoustic performance, live selection in real-time, and integration were key objectives in selecting the new sound system. Alessandro Macrì, Site Coordinator for the new installation, worked on diverse environments, designing a sound distribution structure that is fully integrable and completely monitorable.
"We wanted to use the same source for both live music and background music, and we worked with the most suitable infrastructure; we also focused on the importance of live DJ sets, so we were aware of the need for a certain headroom," says Macrì.
BdF's vision places creativity and musical expertise at its core, moving away from "traditional practices" such as typical playlist-based venues and guarantees a personalized experience for guests, made possible today by activating a single source device capable of controlling each acoustic area.
For sound distribution, the following units were installed, designed to integrate sound and provide an adequate PA system for live performances:

Bar Entrance: 2 IS6T
Main Dining Room: 2 IS6T
Veranda 1 (area dedicated to DJ set): 2 IS26T and 1 IS12S
Lounge: 2 IS6T
Veranda 2: 2 IS25T
Outdoors (adjacent to the bar): 1 IS6T
Outdoor Bar Area: 4 IS26T-W and 1 IS12S
The entire installation was completed with 3 IA504 D and 1 IA3204 R.

Alongside fascinating knick-knacks and vintage paintings, today's music plays a starring role, giving additional energy both during the day and at night. As Giacomo Saltarelli, the creator of the redesign project, states: "I wanted more reliable, more powerful, and more performant audio that would give the venue a more consistent image, from acoustics to aesthetics, which is why I opted for a total white finish system. I'm a huge fan of electronic music. I like volume and power. Today, La Bottega di Franco can offer guests a complete experience with great music and a powerful listening system. This detail is no longer negotiable to create the atmosphere we desire."
