Description
The UK's long-standing Pantomime tradition is in full swing over Christmas and New Year.
Pro company Stage Right Productions have deployed yet another VIO Series system to provide quality audio for their in-house production of Snow White at The Old Savoy, Northampton. Production manager Craig Burgess told us they installed a slightly larger VIO system this year to provide plenty of headroom and optimum coverage in their large-scale 1930s Art Deco theatre. The theatre seats 1000 people, split between the stalls and 3 circle balconies.
Craig advised, "the system allows us to cover every seat in the auditorium, including the upper circle" and emphasised the importance of everyone having the same audio experience wherever they are seated; VIO meets our design spec with its coverage, clarity yet is still a compact, powerful system."
The Main configuration consists of 1 flown VIO S118 and 8 VIO L210s per side focused on the balconies. The stalls are complemented with 2 IG3T and 2 VIO S318s.
The complete system is networked, managed and monitored via Aurora Net software, allowing the engineers to easily tweak the system without flying it back in. A great feature of the software is the ability to see any issues in real time.
Craig added, "VIO has enabled us to bring this show up close and engaged with the audience."
