VIO OPERATOR LEVEL 1
The Level 1 course is the starting point for gaining hands-on experience with the VIO Series. Participants will learn the basics of acoustic theory, VIO presets, and how to use Aurora Net for system control and monitoring. The course also covers practical skills such as system design, rigging, and configuration.
COURSE TOPICS:
Basic Acoustic Theory
• Key concepts: frequency, time, phase, polarity.
• FIR (Finite Impulse Response) and IIR (Infinite Impulse Response) filters and applications.
• Introduction to line array theory and how VIO systems behave in various environments.
VIO Presets
• Analysis of atmospheric conditions on sound propagation.
• System placement strategies and environmental preset selection.
• Overview of coupling presets and high-frequency compensation.
System Design and Control Fundamentals
• Aurora Net: full system control, monitoring, and firmware updates.
• RDNet and networking basics for VIO systems.
• Composer software: practical use as a modeling and configuration tool.
• User presets: creation, management, and recall procedures.
• Firmware 2.0 overview: key features, best practices, and configuration guidelines.
Implementation Techniques
• Rigging fundamentals for VIO line arrays and subwoofers.
• Practical setup of a small VIO system, both ground-stacked and flown.
*This course combines theoretical knowledge with interactive demonstrations and practical exercises. Participants will have the opportunity to apply concepts in real time, ensuring both theoretical understanding and practical confidence in operating VIO systems.
