As the final hours of 2025 gave way to the first moments of 2026, Foshan welcomed an electrified audience gathered to celebrate the New Year with Justin Lo. The performance unfolded with a strong sense of momentum and musical precision, while the sonic atmosphere created on stage was faithfully conveyed throughout the venue by a dBTechnologies VIO system, delivering an immersive and controlled listening experience from start to finish.
This New Year’s Eve concert marked the opening chapter of Justin Lo’s new Asia tour, continuing a technical relationship already established on his previous tour, where the VIO L212 platform was chosen for its ability to combine headroom, clarity, and consistency at scale. For this production, AHM designed and deployed a system configuration centered around 68 VIO L212 and 12 VIO L1610, ensuring uniform coverage and intelligibility across the entire audience area.
Low-frequency performance was a defining element of the system design. A combination of 20 VIO S218 and 12 VIO S218F, the latter operated in cardioid configuration, allowed for precise control of low-end energy, significantly reducing stage spill while preserving impact in the audience area. The flown subwoofer array delivered extended and even coverage throughout the venue, integrating smoothly with the ground-stacked subs to create a cohesive and well-balanced low-frequency response.
Additional support was provided by 14 VIO W15T for nearfield coverage and system reinforcement, with network control and monitoring handled via 2 RDNet Control 8 units. The overall system setup and on-site coordination were carried out in close collaboration with DMT, dBTechnologies’ distributor in China, working alongside Justin Lo’s technical team to ensure optimal performance under the demanding conditions of a large-scale New Year’s Eve show.
The result was a sound system that translated artistic intent into a coherent and powerful sonic experience, setting a strong technical and creative foundation for the tour ahead.
